Trustworthy and loyal are two words that describe Johnny Marines, entrepreneur and manager of the world famous Latin group Aventura. Originally a highly decorated sergeant in the New York Police Department, Marines became involved in the music industry as a security guard for Aventura, and because of his loyalty to the group was appointed manager. His interaction with the group's fan base propelled him forward and allowed him to build his own brand aside from Aventura. Being personable and making himself readily available to fans through social mediums such as Twitter and FaceBook, have allowed fans to not only connect with the group but also with him outside the role of manager.
After 9 years with Aventura, Marines is ready for the next chapter. Within the upcoming years, he hopes to publish a book to share his experiences not only as a manager but also as a Dominican man who triumphed. This is not only a goal for him but what he feels is a necessity. He lived a unique life: going from a blue-collar worker to one of the most recognized managers in music. He feels it is his responsibility to make believers out of non-believers and help others recognize opportunities in everything. By providing guidance and inspiration for others who want to achieve their dreams, he can make a difference.
